Police: 4 wanted in $2,900 theft of sunglasses at Walt Whitman Shops

Suffolk County police released a surveillance photo of four suspects who they said stole six pairs of sunglasses worth $2,900 from Sunglass Hut at Walt Whitman Shops in Huntington Station at about 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2015.
They stole a half-dozen pairs of designer shades worth a cool $2,900, police said.
But, it's not going to be all fun in the sun for the foursome if Suffolk County police have their way, the cops issuing a photo taken from surveillance video at the Sunglass Hut at Walt Whitman Shops, 160 Walt Whitman Rd., on Walt Whitman Road in Huntington Station -- where they said the four stole the glasses on Sept. 22 at about 9 p.m.
Police ask anyone who recognizes the suspects -- or who knows anything about the thefts -- to call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential and callers are eligible for a cash reward for any information leading to an arrest.
