Two different Suffolk County banks have been robbed in two days, and, like the first bank heist, the robber was a woman, police said.

The bank robbery occurred at the TD Bank branch on Route 112 in Medford at about 9:10 a.m. Thursday, police said. A woman who walked into the bank gave the teller "verbal demands" - and walked out with cash, police said.

The woman fled on foot and was last seen heading west on Southaven Avenue.

Major Case detectives are investigating the robbery.

The woman is described as being in her early to mid-30s, about 5-foot-6 with blond hair in a ponytail. She was wearing sunglasses, a dark top, white pants and sneakers.

The robbery comes a day after Suffolk County police arrested Dashona Minor, 26, of Huntington Station, for allegedly robbing a bank of Smithtown branch in Kings Park.

Police are asking that anyone with information call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
