Police ask for tips in fatal shooting
Suffolk County homicide detectives are trying to determine who shot and killed a Central Islip man last month as he sat in a pickup truck in a Bay Shore neighborhood.
Police in a news release Friday asked for the public's help in the shooting death of Brandon Sotomayor, 23.
On Nov. 2, Sotomayor was sitting in the front passenger seat of a green 1996 Chevrolet pickup on Reilly Street at about 11:50 p.m.
He was shot several times by two suspects and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The suspects were seen running south on Reilly Street.
