Police charge East Northport man in 7 robberies

Suffolk County police Second Squad detectives have charged a man who they believe robbed a gas station in Commack Saturday night in addition to several other businesses in the past two months.
Shaun Mcneice, 29, of 5 Stan Haven Place in East Northport, is a suspect in the robbery Saturday of a Shell gas station at 444 Commack Rd. Police said he fled on a bicycle after the robbery 7:35 p.m. There were no injuries to employees at the gas station.
A short time later, detectives found Mcneice on Stan Haven Place and West Haven Drive where he was carrying a skull mask and a loaded handgun and proceeds from the robbery, police said. He was arrested.
Police say he is also a suspect in these robberies:
-- Finnians Pub, 1976 Jericho Tpke., Elwood, on Oct. 5 about 10:45 p.m.
-- Speedway, 5087 Jericho Tpke., Commack, on Oct. 4 about 4:45 a.m.
-- 7-Eleven, 6230 Jericho Tpke., Commack, on Oct. 2 about 12:40 a.m.
-- Three robberies at 7-Eleven, 3041 Jericho Tpke., East Northport, on Sep. 12, 24 and 30 between 11 p.m. and midnight
Police said Mcneice is charged with seven counts of first degree robbery, second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and resisting arrest. He is to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on October 11.
