Suffolk County homicide detectives say they are investigating the drowning of a Copiague man found in his backyard pool.

Vincent Mennella, 29, was found dead fully clothed in an aboveground pool at his home about 2:25 a.m. Tuesday, said homicide chief Lt. Jack Fitzpatrick.

He said no foul play is suspected so far, but autopsy results are awaited.

Mennella lived with his parents on West Minerva Road.

His parents, a cousin and a guest of his cousin were at the house at the time of the discovery, police said. Mennella was found by the guest and pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
