A Cutchogue man was arrested Monday night after police said he refused to leave the home of another man -- then pushed and kicked police officers attempting to arrest him.

Andrew J. LePre, 21, of Bridge Lane, was arrested and charged with second-degree criminal trespass and resisting arrest, Southold Town police said.

Police said LePre was at the home of Jacob Antignano, 22, on Alvahs Lane, and refused to leave -- even after police said he was advised he faced arrest. Then, police said, LePre resisted arrest, becoming "physically aggressive," pushing and kicking officers, "violently resisting attempts" to handcuff him.

He was held for arraignment on Tuesday, police said.
