A one-car accident in Setauket left a driver and his passenger cut and bruised early Wednesday morning, Suffolk County police said.

The crash, reported in a 911 call at 1:25 a.m., occurred on Route 25A near Gnarled Hollow Road and briefly closed Route 25A due to flooding. Police said the driver lost control of the car, a 1997 Ford Taurus, and hit a LIPA pole, a street lamp and a fire hydrant.

The driver and passenger were transported to a local hospital with what police called "minor injuries."

No charges were filed in the accident.
