Police: Driver hits pedestrian in Coram, then flees

Suffolk County police are investigating a hit-and-run crash that injured a pedestrian in Coram on Wednesday.
A police spokeswoman said the victim, a woman, was struck on County Road 83 near Middle Country Road at 6:50 p.m.
She was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, the spokeswoman said.
No other details were immediately available.
