Police: Drunken driver did 101 mph in Kings Park

A man stopped for doing 101 mph on the southbound Sunken Meadow Parkway in Kings Park Tuesday night was drunk and had marijuana with him, State Police said.
William A. Bushell was arrested following the traffic stop at 9:20 p.m. Tuesday. Police did not provide an age or address.
Bushell was charged with driving while intoxicated, unlawful possession of marijuana and other traffic and vehicle law violations, police said. Police said his blood alcohol content was 0.13 percent. Arraignment details were not available.
The trooper said he saw Bushell get on the southbound parkway near Pulaski Road, then accelerate to 101 mph - almost double the 55-mph speed limit.
