Police: DWI charge for wrong-way driver
A Hampton Bays man was arrested and charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated after he was stopped driving the wrong way on Montauk Highway West in Hampton Bays on Sunday, police said.
Southampton Town police said Enrique Castillo, 27, was charged with aggravated DWI because his blood alcohol level was at least .18 percent. The legal limit in New York is .08 percent.
Police said Castillo was stopped at 10:26 p.m. driving on the wrong side of the road.
He also was cited for "multiple" traffic infractions, police said.
Arraignment details were not immediately available.
