Police: DWI driver sped, tailgated

A woman driving 87 mph in Southampton was found to be drunk when she was pulled over, State Police said.
A state trooper spotted Eleanor Geier, 37, speeding early Sunday on westbound Sunrise Highway near Exit 62, Route 111. As the trooper tried to pull her over, she passed other cars unsafely and tailgated other drivers, State Police said.
A field sobriety test found Geier, of Mini Court in Manorville, was drunk, State Police said.
Geier was arrested at 12:40 a.m. Sunday and charged with felony driving while intoxicated because she had a previous conviction within the past 10 years, police said.
She was to be arraigned later in Southampton Town Justice Court, police said.
