An East Moriches man was arrested on Saturday in connection with the December shooting death of an Eastport man at his home, Suffolk County police said.

Paul Batterson Jr., 22, was charged with second-degree murder in the death of Francisco Pirir on Dec. 8.

Pirir, 45, was killed after two men wearing masks broke into his home in the middle of the night and fatally shot him.

Police did not immediately have details about Batterson's arrest.
