Employees of eight Suffolk County businesses were caught selling alcohol to a minor during a Friday night sting operation, police said.

Officers from the Third Precinct in Bay Shore investigated 29 businesses in Bay Shore, West Islip and Islip, according to police.

Arrested and charged were:

Murat Kucukaltun, 34, Gulf Gas, 195 Pine Aire Dr., Bay Shore;

Sabit Akyol, 20, Gulf Gas, 1490 Fifth Ave., Bay Shore;

Muhammed Khan, 32, Village Market, 1389 Fifth Ave., Bay Shore;

Malik Gunes, 45, Citgo Gas, 1310 Fifth Ave., Bay Shore;

Ricardo Negrete, 39, Brightwaters Wine & Liquor, 1241 Sunrise Hwy., Bay Shore;

Certin Aybali, 36, USA Gas, 410 Montauk Hwy., West Islip;

Abdul Qureshi, 57, Oak Neck Wine and Liquors, 945-3 Montauk Hwy., West Islip;

Ranbir Singh, 66, Parmar Liquors, 259 Main St., Islip.

Each of the employees was issued a field appearance ticket and was scheduled to appear in First District Court in Central Islip at a later date.
