Police: Gunman sought in robbery of West Babylon mini mart
Police are searching for a gunman who entered a gas station mini mart late Tuesday in West Babylon, stealing cash before fleeing on foot.
The robbery took place at the Advance station on Route 109 at about 11:15 p.m., Suffolk County police said. The clerk was not injured.
Police said the robber, armed with a handgun, entered the mart -- and demanded cash.
It was not clear how much cash was taken.
Police are asking anyone with information regarding the robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS or the First Squad at 631-854-8152.
