Police investigate apparent pool drowning in Quiogue
Southampton Town police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found Sunday in Quiogue swimming pool.
Police responded to a call from a residence at about 6 a.m. regarding a man found in the rear-yard built-in pool.
The Suffolk County Medical Examiner and Town detectives also responded, and the man's body was taken by the medical examiner for further examination.
Police categorized the death as an "apparent drowning" but said their investigation is ongoing.
The identity of the victim is being withheld, pending family notification, police said.
