Police: Man in Mastic bank robbery threatened to use gun
A man who threatened to use a gun robbed a bank in Mastic Thursday afternoon, Suffolk County police said.
He handed a note demanding cash to a teller at HSBC Bank, at 1718 Montauk Hwy., about 1 p.m., police said.
He was given cash, then ran north through the parking lot, police said.
He had salt and pepper facial hair, appeared to be 50 to 55 years old, is about 5-foot-8 and had a medium build, police said.
