A bank in North Babylon was robbed Tuesday morning, Suffolk County police said.

A man demanded money from a teller at Capital One, at 1383 Deer Park Ave., at 11:45 a.m., then ran with the money northward through a parking lot, police said.

The suspect appeared to be 40 to 45 years old, about 5 feet 6 inches tall with a medium build, police said. He wore shorts and a dark-colored T-shirt, police said.

Detectives are asking anyone with information call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
