Police investigate possible murder-suicide in Bay Shore
Police are investigating a murder-suicide Tuesday morning in Bay Shore.
Initial indications from detectives at the scene on Spruce Street are that a man inside a second-floor apartment in the house killed a woman, then killed himself, Suffolk County police said. Police called the situation a domestic relationship, but did not specify the nature of the relationship between the victim and her alleged killer.
Police have not released the identities of either person pending notification of next of kin. Police also have not released the manner of death.
The incident was reported at about 1 a.m., police said.
The investigation is continuing Tuesday morning.
