Police responding to a call of shots fired cordoned off several streets near Long Island-MacArthur Airport Tuesday morning in Holbrook.

An investigation failed to turn up a victim or any evidence shots had been fired, Suffolk County police said.

The incident, first reported as a fight on Leonard Street and later as a shooting or shots fired, was reported in a 911 call at 6:22 a.m.

Leonard Street is one block between Coates Avenue and Lincoln Avenue on the southeastern edge of the airport, which is in Ronkonkoma.

Police said the airport was not affected.

An investigation into the reported incident found no evidence of any crime, police said, and streets that had been sealed off were reopened at about 8:45 a.m., police said.
