Police investigate shooting in Mastic
Seventh Squad detectives are investigating the shooting of a Mastic man Tuesday, Suffolk County police said.
Officers responded to Market Street at about 9:30 p.m. after an emergency call about a man asking for an ambulance. Police said when the officers arrived, the man reported two men broke into his house and shot him in the leg.
The man was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital with a non-life-threatening wound to his leg, police said.
