Police investigate vandalism to 18 vehicles in Centereach
Someone bashed in the windows of 18 vehicles in Centereach over 14 hours, and Suffolk police want the public's help in solving the crimes.
The damage occurred between 6:30 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday on vehicles parked on Stanley Drive, Noel Drive, Wagon Lane West, Tree Road, Norman Drive, Alden Lane and Avondale Drive, police said.
Police got several 911 calls Friday morning about the damage. It did not appear anything was stolen from the vehicles, according to the Sixth Precinct crime section, which is investigating.
Police ask anyone with information to call 631-854-8628 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800- 220-TIPS.
