Suffolk County police are investigating the shooting of three men in North Bellport late Wednesday night in an area between Patchogue Avenue and Brookhaven Avenue, a department spokeswoman said.

One man was shot in the arm, another in the leg and a third man received multiple gunshot wounds in the abdomen, left arm and groin, the police spokesman said.

All were taken to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in Patchogue for treatment. There was no update on their condition early Thursday morning.

Police received two separate calls on the shootings Wednesday night, the spokeswoman said. One came in from Patchogue Avenue at 11:36 p.m., the other at 11:41 p.m.

“Right now, were not even sure if they are related,” the spokeswoman said. “The investigation is continuing.”
