Police: Islandia crash causes serious injury
A crash in Islandia involving multiple vehicles on Friday afternoon resulted in at least one serious injury, Suffolk police said.
The accident occurred at 1:42 p.m. at the Long Island Expressway North Service Road and Old Nichols Road, police said. Further details were not immediately available.
Police said Old Nichols Road was still closed at the overpass between North Service Road and South Service Road at 6:45 p.m.
