Suffolk police are hoping the public can help locate a missing Dix Hills teenager who vanished Monday afternoon.

Jason Geier, 17, was last seen on Arista Drive in Dix Hills about 3:30 p.m., police said in issuing a Silver Alert.

Geier, police said in a news release, suffers from a number of mental health issues.

Geier stands 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighs 130 pounds, has blond hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue jacket, bluejeans and bright yellow sneakers.

He has relatives who live in Merrick.

Anyone with information on Geier’s whereabouts is asked to call Second Squad detectives at 631-854-8252 or 911.

Silver Alert is a program implemented in Suffolk County that allows local law enforcement to share information with media outlets about individuals with special needs who have been reported missing.
