Police: Male shot Friday in Wyandanch
A male was shot in Wyandanch early Friday, Suffolk County police said.
Police said the victim, whose identity has not been released, suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the shooting, which occurred at 2:35 a.m. on Straight Path. The shooting was reported in a 911 call -- the caller indicating shots had been fired.
Police said the shooting took place outside a home near North 9th Street and that the victim was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip.
No arrests have been made. The investigation into the shooting is continuing.
