A 26-year-old man who led police officers on a pursuit in West Babylon early Friday was arrested -- after he crashed into an unmarked cop car.

Suffolk County police said Troy Farris of Brentwood was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal mischief, unlawfully fleeing a police vehicle and resisting arrest after the pursuit ended at about 1 a.m. near the intersection of Lafayette Road and Manhattan Avenue.

Farris is scheduled for arraignment Friday in First District Court in Central Islip.

Police said officers attempted to stop Farris as he drove his 2013 Chevy Cruze on Sunrise Highway near Hubbards Path, but said he failed to stop -- and instead led officers on the pursuit. But, police said, Farris eventually crashed his Cruze into an unmarked police gang patrol unit vehicle, ending the chase and resulting in his arrest at the scene.
