Police: Man found dead after Wainscott fire

Suffolk County police and arson investigators are investigating a fire Friday in which a man was found dead in Wainscott.

The Bridgehampton Fire Department was called at 6:17 p.m. to Cozy Cabins, 395 Montauk Hwy., Wainscott, for a fire at Unit 11. Firefighters put out the fire but found an unidentified man, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

An autopsy was scheduled for Saturday morning.

The investigation was ongoing.
