Second Squad detectives arrested an East Northport man Tuesday on robbery charges, accusing him of grabbing money from a woman who had just withdrawn it from an ATM on July 13 and trying to do the same to a man on the same day, Suffolk County police said.

Police said Christopher Cipoletti, 26, jumped in the passenger side of the woman's car after she made an ATM withdrawal from a Chase Bank at 271 Larkfield Rd., East Northport. He made off with an unspecified amount of cash.

Earlier that day, police said Cipoletti tried to grab money from a man at a Bank of America ATM at 385 Larkfield Rd., also in East Northport. The man resisted and Cipoletti ran off, police said.

Cipoletti, of 308 Larkfield Rd., is charged with robbery and attempted grand larceny and is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday at First District Court in Central Islip.
