Police: Man hurt in Saturday crash dies
An 86-year-old North Babylon man who was in critical condition Saturday after his car was struck by another in Brentwood has died from his injuries, Suffolk police said Sunday.
Bruno Laface was trying to make a left turn from a parking lot at Suffolk and Eastern avenues about 4:45 p.m. Saturday when his car was hit by a vehicle heading east on Suffolk Avenue, police said. The impact flipped Laface's car on its side, police said.
Laface was taken to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore. The other driver, Michael Casarona, 25, of Bohemia, and his passenger were not injured.
The case remains under investigation, police said.
Police impounded both vehicles for inspection. They said anyone with information about the crash could call the Third Squad at 631-854-8352.
