He asked to use the employee restroom, but was denied.

Instead, Suffolk County police said, the unidentified man pushed and punched the employee at the 7-Eleven store on William Floyd Parkway in Shirley at 9:45 p.m. Sept. 21, tore the phone line when the employee tried to call 911 -- and stole a 12-pack of beer.

Now, police are asking the public's help identifying the suspect or two men who were with him during the late September robbery.

Police have released photographs of the three men, all from surveillance video.

Police said the suspect wore a red shirt and had a chin-strap-type beard. Police did not release any other details.

Police ask anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
