Police: Man sought after TD Bank robbery in Shirley
Suffolk County police are searching for a man who robbed a Shirley bank Saturday morning, making off with an disclosed amount of cash.
The suspect entered the TD Bank at 530 William Floyd Pkwy. at 10:45 a.m. and approached a teller with a note demanding cash, police said. The teller complied and turned over cash from the drawer. The suspect fled on foot southbound on William Floyd Parkway, according to police.
The suspect is described as 5-foot-7 and in his early 40s with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a light-colored baseball cap, jeans and a dark-colored jacket.
Detectives are asking anyone with information on the robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
