Suffolk County police and Crime Stoppers said they are looking for a man who lifted $2,000 from a wallet left on the seat of a shopping cart in a Centereach Walmart in July.

Police on Friday released photographs of the suspect taken from video surveillance at the store, at 161 Centereach Mall.

At about 10 p.m. on July 7, a woman shopping there left her wallet on the cart seat, police said.

It was stolen by a man as she shopped, police said.

Store employees later found the wallet but it was missing $2,000, police said.

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-8477. All calls will be kept confidential.
