Police: Man stole from Smithtown church's donation box

Suffolk County police and Crime Stoppers are looking for a man who pried open a donation box at a Smithtown church, making off with more than $100.
Police on Friday released photographs of the suspect taken from video surveillance at St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, at 280 E. Main St.
The man sat in a pew for an hour on Oct. 10 before using pry tools to get into the box and taking the money, police said
Police said the man was inside the church at about 1 p.m.; a video is posted at YouTube.com/scpdtv.
