Suffolk County police on Thursday asked for the public's help identifying a man who stole two packages of power tools from a Home Depot in Commack.

The theft took place on the afternoon of May 3 at the 68 Crooked Hill Rd. store. Video surveillance shows the man at about 4:20 p.m. walking to a display of Ridgid 18-volt lithium ion 5-piece Combo Kits near the front of the store, then taking two of the kits off a shelf and walking out without paying, the police said.

According to the manufacturer's website, the Ridgid Combo Kit includes a hammer drill, circular saw, impact driver, reciprocating saw and work light.

The Fourth Precinct crime section said the suspect appears to be in his mid-20s, about 5-feet-10 inches and 200 pounds, with dark hair. He wore blue jeans and a black Under Armour shirt.

Anyone with information on the theft is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
