Suffolk County police are trying to track down a man they believe has knowledge of an attempted ATM theft.

On Nov. 15, police responded to a report that an unknown person or group of people had broken into the OTB on Northern Boulevard in Shirley at about 10:30 p.m. The person or group attempted unsuccessfully to steal an ATM.

Police said the man wanted for questioning was captured on security footage at the OTB earlier in the day. In released images, he is wearing a white long-sleeved shirt, dark shorts and sneakers.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to arrest. Callers to 800-220-TIPS will remain anonymous.
