A man who was wanted in Riverhead faces robbery and other felony charges after his surrender on Wednesday ended a two-hour standoff in Mastic with Suffolk police, authorities said Thursday.

Keandre Hudson, 19, was emerging from a neighbor's house on Moriches Avenue just before 11:15 a.m. when he noticed Seventh Precinct officers watching him and ran back inside, Suffolk police said.

The officers recognized him because he was wanted by Riverhead police, said Deputy Chief Kevin Fallon, a Suffolk police spokesman.

"Since we knew he was wanted on a weapons charge, we thought he could be armed, so we wanted to take precautions," he said.

More officers from the precinct and emergency services unit, along with armored trucks, arrived to surround the house, their guns drawn.

Hudson refused to come out, police said, but shortly before 1 p.m., he and at least two other men emerged. Others were in the house, but no hostages were involved in the barricade, no one was injured and no shots were fired, police said.

No charges were filed in connection with the standoff and his refusal to immediately come out, police said.

However, after an investigation by Seventh Precinct detectives, Hudson, of 184 Moriches Ave., was charged with first-degree robbery and second-degree assault in connection with a May 14 incident on Huntington Drive in Mastic Beach.

Separately, he was also charged with second-degree criminal possession of a handgun and criminal possession of a controlled substance.

He was scheduled to be arraigned Thursday. Details were not immediately available.

The two others were charged with misdemeanors unrelated to the standoff, police said.

Gabriel Jackson, 27, 141 Eleanor Ave. in Mastic, was charged with petty larceny after clothing was stolen in a Shirley store Oct. 31, police said.

William Parson, 33, of 59 Curtis Ave., Sound Beach, was charged with two counts of petty larceny, police said. Officials said he took donation jars from a Shirley 7-Eleven on Nov. 10 and a Mastic 7-Eleven on Nov. 15.

It was not clear Thursday night if both had been scheduled for arraignment or were given appearance tickets.
