Two men who got into a fight with a deli employee in Lakeview Monday evening broke out a baseball bat and smashed a glass door and countertop, Nassau County police said.

Police said they then stole a bicycle from a second victim, put it in a BMW and fled.

The incident occurred at the Roniely Deli on Woodfield Road in Lakeview at 10:40 p.m., police said. No one was injured.

It was not immediately clear what sparked the argument. Police said that after the men damaged the glass door and the countertop, they took a blue bicycle from a 42-year-old victim outside the store - and put it into a black BMW. They fled south on Woodfield, police said.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
