Police: Pair used fake gift cards

The Sixth Precinct Crime Section released photographs Friday of a couple who used a fake gift card to buy $900 worth of merchandise from a Terryville sporting goods store in August, Suffolk County police said.
On Aug. 29, a man and woman made the purchase, mostly sports apparel, from Port Jeff Sporting Goods at 1395 Route 112, police said. The photographs were taken from video surveillance cameras at the store.
Police said the couple left the store together in a white or silver Toyota 4Runner at about 8 p.m.
