Police: Pedestrian hurt in Bay Shore crash
A man was rushed to the hospital in serious condition late Saturday after being struck by a car on Fifth Avenue in Bay Shore, Suffolk County police said.
The car was heading north on Fifth Avenue near Juliet Street when the pedestrian was struck, police said.
The victim was taken to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore, police said.
The crash appeared to be noncriminal, police said. Officers were called to the incident at 10:17 p.m.
