Police: Person found dead after Wyandanch house fire

Suffolk County police are investigating the scene of an early morning fire in Wyandanch where a body was found.
Police said a boarded up home on Irving Avenue was reported burning at about 2 a.m. Saturday and when Wyandanch Fire Department firefighters extinguished the blaze, they found one person dead inside.
The body was taken to the Suffolk County medical examiner's office to determine the person's identity and cause of death.
Police said they believe the cause of the fire to be noncriminal.
