Free hams and turkeys will be distributed to needy families on Dec. 21 in the annual Cops Who Care food giveaway, a partnership between Suffolk County police and New York State Police.

Suffolk police on Monday announced the giveaway, scheduled for 1 p.m. at Police Headquarters, 30 Yaphank Ave., Yaphank.

Families are limited to one item on a first-come, first-served basis.
