Police called to the scene of a late-night shooting Wednesday discovered the bodies of a man and woman in an apparent murder-suicide at an apartment complex in Bay Shore.

Suffolk County police said Thursday they believe the man killed the woman then killed himself following some sort of domestic disturbance.

The shooting, which took place at the Fairfield Eastbrook Gardens apartments on Brook Street in Bay Shore was reported in a 911 call at 11:45 p.m.

Police said the investigation is continuing and could not immediately detail the relationship between the two. The names of the victims were not released, pending notification, police said.
