Police probe robbery try at East Farmingdale BP station
Suffolk County police are investigating a robbery attempt late Monday at an East Farmingdale gas station.
A police spokeswoman said officers responded to a call at about 10:30 p.m. from the BP station at 1009 Route 109.
The clerk at the station said a man demanded that money be put into a bag but then the man left without getting any cash, the spokeswoman said.
There were no injuries and the clerk told police he did not see a weapon.
