A 24-year-old man was shot in the leg while leaving a Patchogue bar early Saturday, Suffolk County police said.

The victim, Frank Muhammad, 24, of North Bellport was in the rear parking lot of The Pub, at 232 E. Main St., when an unknown person opened fire about 3 a.m.

Muhammad was taken to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue where he is in stable condition.

Detectives ask anyone who may have witnessed the shooting to call the Fifth Squad at 631-854-8552 or anonymously call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
