Police are searching for the person -- or, persons -- who fired multiple shots into a home in Copiague early Wednesday, wounding two people.
The shootings occurred on Galvani Street and were reported at 3:25 a.m., Suffolk County police said.
Police described the victims only as a male and a female and said both were taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip with non-life-threatening injuries.
No arrests have been made.
Crime Scene Unit detectives remained on the scene at daybreak Wednesday, investigating the shooting. Police said K-9 units also were searching the area. An aviation unit also was requested to join the search, but it was unable to participate because of bad weather, police said.
