Police pursuit ends in crash on Sunrise Highway, cops say

A police helicopter pursuit of a man driving on Sunrise Highway in Bellport ended Friday night when the man crashed into a guardrail, Suffolk police said.
Police said the man was headed east when he crashed near exit 56 at 6:30 p.m.
The man was in police custody after being taken to a hospital for precautionary reasons.
