An overnight shooting in Huntington Station wounded two men on Tuesday, police said.
Suffolk County police said Jose Vasquez, 19, and Oscar Oliva-Aguilar, 17, both of Huntington Station, were standing in front of Vasquez' home on East Third Street when a man approached and fired at them at about 1:10 a.m.
Vasquez was struck in the left side of his waist, police said. They said Oliva-Aguilar was struck in the buttocks.
After being hit, the two ran inside as the assailant continued to fire at the house, police said.
Both were taken to Huntington Hospital with non-life-threatening wounds.
In a separate shooting Monday, a Huntington Station man was gunned down on a street corner following a Fourth of July celebration on his block, police said. Robert Sanders, 27, had been shot several times and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
