Suffolk officer hurt in Veterans Highway crash, police say

A Suffolk County police officer suffered minor injuries when his marked cruiser was involved in a crash with another car on Veterans Memorial Highway early Friday in Holbrook.
Suffolk County police said the collision took place at 12:43 a.m.
The officer and the other driver both sustained minor, non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to a local hospitals.
Photos from the scene show the marked police car, its front end heavily damaged. The other car is up on a curb, off the side of the road. Additional information was not available.
