Police search for suspected shoplifter at Walmart

Police are searching for a man who stole a pair of shoes and children's clothing from a Walmart at the Centereach Mall last month, fleeing the scene on a bicycle.

The incident occurred on July 11 at about 9:15 a.m.

Suffolk County police said the man wore the shoes out of the store, carrying out the clothing. The man, wearing a pullover-type shirt with horizontal stripes, is believed to be between 35 and 45 years old.

Police are asking anyone with information regarding the incident to call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
