A section of East Jericho Turnpike in Elwood reopened Friday night after an early morning crash knocked down utility poles and electric wires, Suffolk County police said.

Police said the crash occurred at 1:56 a.m. Friday and that the road reopened just after 10:30 p.m. Friday.

Two poles had been knocked down in the crash, forcing the closure between Dix Hills Road and Alpine Way.

Police said there were no serious injuries.

The cause of the crash is being investigated.
